First head lasted about 6 months, had to pay Topeak to ship a new one. Second head lasted about 6 months. Heads work great untiul the seals stop sealing. Won't pay Topeak for another one. It's been used only on presta valves, about twice a week and well-cared for otherwise. Won't be buying another.

Pump was great while it worked. Bought in May '09, the valve broke yesterday (won't seal, plus pin fell out). Was only used on Presta valves, was used about 3 times a week.

This pump is truly a joy to use. The thing that is amazing is how smooth the stroke is when you are inflating your tires. I usually pump my tires to 120 psi and it is almost effortless. This pump was purchased 2-1/2 years ago. I wanted to get a second pump to leave at our weekend cabin and I thought I would buy an inexpensive floor pump as a second pump. After using this pump the other pumps just seemed substandard. I have never had any issues with the head leaking air or coming off of the valve stem as I have had with lesser pumps. Really just buy this pump. As the saying goes, "the quality remains long after the price is forgotten".

I bike to work three days a week and ride weekends. This pump replaces a one year old Specialized Comp that was consitentently a pain. This pump is high quality , easy to use and excellent value. If you are tired of messing around with your current pump buy this one. The guage is easy to read,the barrel large enough it only takes a few plunges to get the tires to 120psi (from 80psi) and connects and disconnects quicly and with little air loss. A pleasure to use. Splurge!

This pump is very well made and met my expectations, which were high given the excellent ratings this pump has received here and at other online sites.
I had the opportunity to use Topeak's customer service line for what I thought was going to be a warranty claim. It turned out there's a threaded plastic nut that sits on top of the housing that holds the gauge, right where the shaft of the pump enters. That nut wasn't tight and the housing was loose, causing air to leak out when the pump was used. Tightening that nut secured the housing back in place and stopped the leakage of air.
Dick, the customer service rep, was friendly, patient and knowledgeable of the product. I recommend this product to anyone who's looking for a high quality pump that supports both type of valves.
