I bought this bike trainer to use when I don't feel like (or weather doesn't permit) exercising outside. I was thinking about buying a stationary exercise bike, but they are all so expensive. Then I came across this product for only a fraction of the price and decided to give it a try. I have a regular mountain bike (nothing fancy) and the trainer fits and works great. I could not use the quick release wheel mount because my tire was not a quick release tire, but the bolts fit over the bolts on my bike just fine. The trainer does make some noise, it sounds a lot like a vacuum, but that isn't a problem in my book.

I took I out of the box to fond that I needed to take the whole thing apart and fix it. I guess you get what you paid for

For Christmas, I had been given a bike trainer, but there was a catch, I had to get it myself. I have several criteria in mind. One had to be high-quality. Two it had to be inexpensive. Three it had to be easy to assemble. I spent days off and on doing online research but kept coming back to this trainer in particular. As with any online research you can only go so far to be sure of what you're purchasing. I made the purchase. It arrived it in a well packaged box. I opened it, and was riding within half an hour or less. This easy-to-use trainer has been part of my exercise routine for the last seven months and i switch bikes back and forth without any trouble and it works just as well as the day I got it. Safe to say, I am happy with this purchase.

This is the first indoor bike trainer that I have used, therefore it's difficult to compare with other models. However, after reviewing many different brands and their associated costs I came across the RAD trainer. I was a little reluctant to purchase due to the low purchase price. Once I recieved it I found that it was constructed well and sturdy. The ease of installing the bike on the trainer could not have been easier. I was up and riding in just minutes. A simple turn of the retention knob created all the tension I needed. The noise that it created was noticable however it was not annoying especially since I watch TV or listen to music while training. I put approximately 500 miles on mine over a few months this winter and never had any problems. It folds up and stores easily. Since I only need to use mine over the winter months to maintain my fitness level until the spring this is a great fit for me.

I picked this up for my wifes bike this past winter to see if she would ride with me in the off season. Set up was quick. Her bike (mountain bike with road slicks) didn't work with the accompanying skewer but attached fine with the nut clamps. The noise from the tires was no more than my trainer (road bike with slicks) and I couldn't hear her noise over mine when I was riding next to her. It is pretty much a set it and forget it trainer. Only addition I would have liked is a remote to change the intensity of the resistance while riding but for the price I can't complain. This spring it took down very fast and is now folded in the closet nicely awaiting use for this coming winter. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a no bells and whistles economic trainer.
